the 9 best things to happen to me in 2020.

i was tagged by @thehikingvalkyrie, and since i rarely do these things i thought it’d be kinda fun. i’ll sorta do this in chronological order.

1. i’ve actually learned to love my job this year! i got a new manager, who let me work on a lot more engineering design and I’ve really been learning a lot.

2. my band ~officially~ recorded our whole first album! i’ve been working on producing it, and i’m learning a lot in the process (and lowkey excited to release it this year).

3. speaking of the band, i feel like we’ve improved a lot this year specifically because quarantine has made us hole up and focus on productive practice and better songwriting.

4. this is silly, but i got better at cooking c:

5. i ended a very long, emotionally abusive relationship. i felt like i couldn’t escape. the past few months of recovery have been extremely difficult, but every day has been a little step in the right direction.

6. i’ve been through a lot mentally, and i’m proud of myself.

7. i tried wawa for the first time, and it’s 1000x better than sheetz i can’t believe i’ve been lied to about sheetz.

8. i reconnected with a few friends who i was isolated from (see #5) and it feels good c:

9. i’ve gotten to know more mucisians in my city’s scene and i feel like i’m falling in love with my city all over again
